24th October 2018, Tokyo – Aden Group, a leading pan-Asia IFM solutions provider, today announced that it has opened a new northeast Asia regional office in Tokyo, Japan. The move marks a bold entry into a new market for ADEN, furthering the scope of the company’s presence in an increasingly interconnected Asian market, and moving to address the growing need in Japan for cutting-edge IFM technology.
As Japanese enterprises are increasingly upgrading their facilities approach to IFM, which enables them to focus on their core business, the opening of ADEN’s new office positions the company to provide its leading innovative technological offerings to meet local enterprises’ needs, supported by local Japanese FM providers. With customized turnkey solutions ranging from robotics to energy, ADEN will work with Japanese customers to implement rapid and efficient IFM transformation and upgrading suited to the needs of today’s changing market.
The new office also provides ADEN with a stronger position regionally, supporting ADEN’s business in Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore, where Japanese enterprises maintain a strong presence. By helping to coordinate ADEN’s IFM strategy across the region, the new office bolsters the company’s existing presence across the Asia Pacific region and builds stronger links between offices and with regional customers. The office will also help to strengthen ADEN’s relations with Japanese financial institutions, helping to further drive the growth of the company’s business.
With a location in one of the world’s key technology hubs, the office will give ADEN a base to develop new innovative solutions in areas including energy and infrastructure, particularly in providing solutions suitable for remote locations in regions such as Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Africa. The office will help facilitate the application of Japan-developed technologies in China and other markets, while also bringing the world’s latest IFM advances, particularly in robotics and energy, to Japan.
Japan is also a crucial strategic hub for ADEN as the company continues to develop its presence beyond Asia, particularly in Africa and Latin America. As Japan looks to play a larger role in promoting African development, ADEN is well-placed to contribute to growing Japan-Africa links, building on the company’s existing presence and extensive experience in Africa to provide optimized remote site management strategies and solutions to Japanese companies involved in a wide range of projects in Africa. Next year’s Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development, hosted by the Japanese government in collaboration with international bodies including the UN and World Bank, is set to further deepen ties.
ADEN’s Japan office will be headed by Ryota Fujii, who joins ADEN from his previous position as head of the business management group of Aeon Delight, a facility management subsidiary of Aeon Group. He also worked for the pioneering Japanese private equity firm Advantage Partners, the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley as well as Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s most prestigious consulting firms. With his strong background in managing an extensive network of regional offices and cooperation between Japanese and foreign enterprises and wide experience in investment, Mr. Fujii will continue to open up broader investment opportunities for ADEN.
“Opening our Japan office is a major step forward for ADEN as we continue in our mission to provide the latest IFM solutions to our customers across the globe and in individual markets,” said ADEN Co-Founder & Co-President Francois Amman. “In an increasingly interconnected world, our presence in Japan will help more companies have access to our innovative offerings, and help to better bridge the geographic and technological gaps between countries and continents. We are looking forward to building fruitful relationships with new Japanese customers and deepening our cooperation with existing customers in Asia and beyond.
