Aden Indonesia has inked a deal with PT. Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia (MTI), a prominent player in Indonesia’s mineral industry and part of the Merdeka Group. The expansive project, covering an area of 4,700 square meters, is situated in Morowali, Sulawesi, a region gaining prominence in Indonesia’s mining sector. Over the past two years, Aden has managed multiple remote camp contracts with the group in this area.

The MTI remote camp initiative is a pivotal aspect of the Merdeka Group’s operations, which involves the processing of exhausted ore from the Wetar Copper Mine and its transformation into a variety of valuable by-products, including sulfuric acid, saturated steam, iron ore pellets, copper sponge, lead-zinc hydroxide, gold doré, and silver.

Aden Indonesia will now cater to over 1,000 personnel on-site, offering a comprehensive suite of essential Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services. These services encompass catering, smart facilities, and daily essentials provision, all aimed at fostering a comfortable and homely environment for workers in one of Indonesia’s most remote industrial zones.

Nicolas Durupt, Country General Manager of Aden Indonesia, stated, “Aden Indonesia is privileged to assist the Merdeka Group in its endeavors to make a positive contribution to Sulawesi’s burgeoning industrial sector, with a focus on workforce well-being and operational excellence in an eco-friendly manner.”
